S22 Ultra Speakerphone echo

S22 Ultra, Rogers, latest firmware. 

Caller hears an echo, happens if I call them or they call me.  Soon as I turn off speakerphone echo stops, have to use phone held to ear.

This has happened before and a restart has fixed it, today that wasn't the case.  I did have it stop when I tried safe mode once, but that's not conclusive.  

I've found many people having this problem, I expect it's hardware or requires new firmware.  

Does Samsung do a swap, send you a phone or do you have to send in your phone and wait.  My backup phone doesn't have the storage capacity of this 512gb phone,, and guess what, Samsung killed microsd cards.

This exact thing is happening to me. I have an online exclusive model and can't use the speaker function because it echoes. I thought it was the case so tried it without the case and all echo.

I also did the diagnostic check, suggested by another commenter here and everything checked out ok/my phone is up to date. Everything else works fine, but speaker phone produces an echo.

Same issue here. My phone is fully updated and I've restarted. No luck with fixing the echo on speaker phone. Really disappointed.

  • I shared the same echo problem with my s22 ultra when turn speaker on or use head set. I used s21 ultra and found no problem with the same head set.
  •  I think it has to do with firmware or phone app on echo calcellation.

I am experiencing the same issue. Has there been any input from Samsung??? It's not the phone case, its not needing a software update, what else can the issue be???

It's happening to me all the time. Testing mic doesn't do anything.

Here's what fixed my echo.

Restart phone in safe mode.

Then restart normally.

Exho gone.
