I just bought an S23 FE and was very surprised at how terrible the rear camera quality is, especially on the videos. It's very pixelated, grainy, with a tetrible resolution and very low sharpness/clarity.
I have tried switching over multiple settings (HD,UHD,30/60fps)and none of it looks good, not even the 8k!
From what I have seen on online S23 FE camera reviews, the camera quality is excellent.
So this certainly seems to be an issue just on my phone.
Could anyone please share if they had any a similar experience?
Hi, please perform Safe mode on your device. Using Safe mode disables all downloaded apps and loads only the original settings that came with your phone, allowing you to determine if the issue is caused by an app.
On devices with a regular Power key, press and hold the Power key until the Power menu is displayed.
Touch and hold Power off until the Safe mode icon is displayed. Tap Safe mode to start your device in Safe mode. If you've entered Safe mode successfully, you'll see Safe mode displayed at the bottom of the screen.
Open the Camera app and see if the 'Camera failed' error still occurs.
If the issue is gone in Safe mode: One of your recently downloaded apps was likely the cause of the problem. Proceed to uninstall the apps. After uninstalling the app, restart the phone or tablet and check if it is functioning normally.
If the issue still exists: Downloaded apps may not be the cause of the problem. You may need to reset the phone to the factory setting.
Just purchased an S23 FE as well. Just took my first images with it yesterday and was amazed at how grainy and not sharp the images are it takes. Spent the whole day today doing research and trying apps. Also, looked at reviews on Reddit.
My five year old Galaxy A12 takes better pictures!!!!!
