Hey Guys, I just did a review comparing the S23 Ultra vs the S22 Ultra. I wiped my S22 Ultra, loaded it with the same Google account, had the same number of apps installed, turned on the same background services and set the screen brightness and resolution to match on both phones. I got 20% more battery life on the S23 Ultra and 8 hours of SOT even with almost MAX screen brightness, adaptive refresh and max screen resolution. It's not just hype, but check out my video if you want to see it tested.

According to my usage and set up with my S23U, i think i can reach 10hrs of SOT or very very close to it

Hey, totally realistic because I had both phones set to like almost the max brightness, just one level down from when it prompts you that it will experience heavier battery drain. If I put the screen brightness to half or adaptive, I could have easily got more time, but I also wanted to drain the batteries fast at the same time for the test.

Great review. I traded in my s22 ultra for s23 ultra. I have no regrets. Battery life is absolutely beast. I left 1% with 9 hour of sot. phone was on wifi, Standard mode, connected to watch 5 pro throughout day. Regular usage like social media, movie etc.. my s22 ultra would have been dead after 5 hours for same usage.Screenshot_20230218_125226_Device care_1000008139_1676742802.jpg

Thanks for watching -ACon-! Yep, the battery life is a great quality of life improvement and more impactful day to day than the camera upgrade. What do you normally set your screen brightness to for daily use? Do you run the phone with the max resolution as well btw? Thanks for sharing your SOT data, it's great to see a wide range of battery life.

I am keeping it on adaptive brightness. Yes I use phone with max resolution. I didn't force phone to do any crazy task like shooting 8k for long periods or taking 100 images. I measured it based on my regular usage which includes some browsing, YouTube, watching movie, social media, video calls, bit of gaming, listening to music, clicking some pictures and all. My phone was constantly connected to watch and 3 - 4 hours with buds 2 pro.

That's great. Yea, that's the thing about reviews, everyone's usage habits are so different that it can't be 100% applied to your usage, but it's great to see that you're coming in with 9 hours SOT with your usage.

Well 10hrs of SOT is definitely possible. I just plugged it in my computer for 20 secs to transfer 2 pictures but it did reach 10hrs of sot with 7% left.Screenshot_20230219_010551_Device care_1000002007_1676786751.jpgScreenshot_20230219_010724_Device care_1000002008_1676786844.jpg
