Hi A1ex3o,

We are sorry to hear this issue from you. Have you tried performing a Wipe Cache Partition on your device? If not, please follow the steps below and see if it helps:

1.Turn off the device.

2. Press and hold the Volume Up key and then press and hold the Power key

3. When the Android logo displays, release both keys.

4. Wait until the Android system recovery menu options appear.

5. Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition. 6. Press Power key to select.

7. Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, them and press the Power key to select.

8. When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.

9. Press the Power key to restart the device.

If you wipe your cache partition, it removes any temporary files that may be causing some issues with your device, all of your personal files and settings will not be affected when you wipe cache partition.

Here are some additional steps you can take to address the heating problem:

1. Check Background Apps: Make sure that there are no excessive background apps running on your device, as they can contribute to increased heat generation. Close any unnecessary apps running in the background.

2. Update Software: Ensure that your device's software is up to date. Sometimes, software updates include bug fixes and optimizations that can improve device performance and reduce overheating.

3. Limit Intensive Tasks: Avoid using resource-intensive apps or performing tasks that put a heavy load on your device, such as gaming or streaming high-definition videos, for extended periods, as these activities can lead to increased heat generation.

4. Optimize Settings: Adjust your device's settings to optimize performance and reduce heat generation. For example, lower the screen brightness, disable features like Always On Display when not in use, and limit background data usage.

Thank you.

I have the same phone. Mine gets really overheated when charging...I use the charging cord that came with my phone...it heats up when I use the phone for calling, texting, games...pretty much everything. The last few days, I've had warnings of apps using too much data. I've turned off alot of my background data but sometimes when I do that, a necessary app changes it's settings. For example: when I pressed on one of the war rings of too much data usage, it took me to a strange place that wanted me to monitor my sleep, tell my phone when I listen to loud music and then, my phone took a picture of me...so you tell me, Samsung. Is my data usage and overheating phone my priority issue, or the fact that one day, AI may or may not, tell me to record how many times a day do I have a bowel movement.Btw, I'm pretty sure that no one has taught artificial "intelligence" how to spell properly. There was a time when having a cellphone was fun and easy to use. Now, it has become a tool for some sort of agency and/or corporations to monitor my everyday behavior to become the "norm" and be a good little number like everyone else. So, what do I do about this too much data issue? If you'll excuse me, I must use the washroom. Looking forward to fixing my issue with my Samsung phone. Have a great day. Oh, would you pls turn the fan on in my bathroom?

Hi Darladarla,

We are sorry to hear that your'e experiencing mix of technical issues on your device. Please try the below steps and check if it helps.

For the overheating issue, try turning off Fast Charging under Settings > Battery > Charging. Also, avoid using your phone while it’s charging to reduce heat.

For the data usage warnings, go to Settings > Connections > Data usage and check which apps are using excessive data. You can disable background data for apps you don’t need.

To address concerns about unwanted AI or privacy settings, head to Settings > Privacy and review permissions for apps. You can turn off unnecessary features under Digital Wellbeing & Advanced Features.

Let us know if these steps help, or if you need further assistance.

Thank you.

Hi again A1ex3o,

Thanks for following the steps, and we are sorry to hear the overheating is still happening. Since the issue persists after wiping the cache partition and optimizing your settings, here are the next steps you can try:

Run Samsung Members Diagnostics. Use the built-in tool to check for hardware issues:

Open the Samsung Members app. Tap “Get help” > Phone diagnostics. Run tests for Battery, Temperature, and App performance.

If it flags any abnormal heating or hardware behavior, it’s a good indicator that service may be needed.

Boot in Safe Mode. This helps check if a third-party app is causing heat issues.

Press and hold Power > then tap and hold Power off > tap Safe Mode. Use your phone for 10–15 minutes in Safe Mode (no third-party apps run here).

If it stays cooler, the issue may be caused by an app likely one that’s syncing, using background data, or improperly optimized.

Factory Reset (if not yet done post-heating). If the issue started after setup and not during initial boot, please backup your data and perform factory reset. This is a last resort but can rule out deep software-level causes.

If none of the above help and the device continues to overheat during light usage, then please get the device examined by the service technician to know the root cause of the issue and get it fixed.

Please visit the link given below to know the nearest Samsung authorized service center.

Thank you.
