Samsung S20 Ultra white screen issue

Hi Samsung,

I got S20 Ultra from Etisalat UAE which considers had a worldwide warranty.

On 16 Oct 2022 night, I saw a glitch on the screen and on 17 Oct 2022 morning, the screen become white.

As I browsing in the Samsung community, many people already posted regarding this issue.

I already contacted Samsung Indonesia and they suggest go to Samsung service center at Mega Bekasi.

I went to the service center and customer service was pointing out that this is a user error which I deny as the phone was not fallen down and I used the original Samsung hard cover case.

So, my issues are

1. The worldwide warranty is not acknowledged by the Samsung Indonesia service center.

I really don't understand why my warranty is not acknowledged by Samsung Indonesia? Are they not part of the world?

2. I had to pay for the service to repair the screen.

I don't have any issue with the money, but during the preliminary discussion, customer service pointed it had to be a user error that trigger me to raise the complaint as I'm not did as his accusation.

Is the quality of Samsung flagship mobile cannot be trusted?

As you know, this is not a cheap phone, but why the quality and after-sales service is very poor.

It was just 2 years and 3 months of use and now the user had to pay more due to failure in mobile design.

As a user of Samsung S20 Ultra, I feel really disappointed as the flagship mobile is coming with poor quality.

So sorry for your poor experience with claiming your warranty being declined like that. A lot of Indonesian Samsung Flagship users including Note series also having the same problem with claiming their warranty, especially a lot of them said it was not their fault, the screen goes white or having green lines. And then the representative at the service center said it was their fault and have to pay a lot of money to just repair it, which even most Flagship users simply could not afford to pay it. Most of them prefer to have new phones from other manufacturers than had to get it repaired.

I suggest you to move to other Flagship phones that are have better warranty claim.

As I know,a worlwide warranty doesn't apply in SSC. Because SSC in Indonesia only accept SEIN warranty,thats mean the Samsung device must be assembled in Indonesia. Your device is not SEIN warranty,so if u went to SSC to fix your phone,although u still have worldwide warranty, u still have to pay the cost for service.

For me,  it's okay to pay for the service charge but in this case, they charge for the hardware replacement which is a defect from the manufacturing side.

And how does the other side of the world know that you got to have SEIN warranty instead worldwide warranty if you want to claim for warranty in Indonesia 😂

Now I have to pay IDR 4,536,634 for replacing the screen.

It's really absurd as the problem is not caused by me.

Samsung should take this issue seriously as customers are losing money for a quality defects.

Just get called from Call Center Samsung Indonesia,

Short quote, Samsung Indonesia can not be responsible for the repair for the unit that is made outside Indonesia.
