Yesterday I bought Samsung Galaxy S25 and I thought it's a good thing that with new OS I can surf web and gaming smoothly, but I just notice that they don't have memory card slot which find myself confusing, they begin to develop like Apple did and I kind of somewhat hate it for limiting the storage for buying cloud that cost way expensive, I think Samsung should create a memory card for new type samsung that doesn't include memory card and I heard that Huawei do have that called nano memory card, so please Samsung, put that features in your devices because it help for some people who doesn't like cloud.

memory card slot won't coming back to S Series, even they removed memory card slot from A56 and A36 this year. But worry no more Tablet S10+ or S10 U both still have memory card slot

ok let's say you don't need a Tablet, you can always buy Flash drive or if you need a fast storage you can always buy external SSD and most of them have USB 3.2 Type C port which is blazing fast, external SSD is small device, you can even put it inside your pocket

I can understand that, but have to put flash drive everytime trying to listen music and better yet downloading some files causing the charger jack to be easily break, in my own opinion or at least they should like making that memory external storage to be built in inside the phone rather insert and eject every flash drive to do it

Hi, Juri_SF! 🙌🏻

First of all, I completely understand your point because many Samsung users, myself included, felt the same way when the company decided to follow other brand path and remove the microSD card slot.

Samsung actually stopped including the microSD slot starting from the Galaxy S21 series and their official reasoning has always been tied to things like performance stability, faster internal storage with UFS, and also achieving a slimmer and more seamless design.

Sadly, at this moment Samsung has never announced any plans to bring back the microSD slot or even to adopt something like NM cards, and instead they seem to be pushing users toward alternatives such as buying larger internal storage options and using cloud storage services for limited types of data which you doesn't like.

Even relying on external SSDs or flash drives connected through USB-C OTG which actually deliver very fast performance, especially with Samsung’s own T7 or T9 SSDs.

However, if we look at it from another angle, this approach really reflects Samsung’s current marketing strategy because by removing the microSD slot they indirectly push users to purchase higher storage variants at a higher price point or to rely on subscription-based services.

Which of course benefits the company financially even though it limits the consumer’s options compared to how things used to be. After all, it is the way it is.

Yeah, but I still hope that they would listen to some of complaint or feedback to added those, I mean they can create that external storage like other brands did exclusively samsung made for that memory on the phone

Honestly I think that at some point it isn’t really just about what the users want, but more about how the company balances between user demands and investor interests.

On the other hand, there are still many people who would buy Galaxy devices even without microSD card support.

That's why microSD card might never come back on Galaxy S series, until Samsung adapt another strategy on their Mobile Experience business.
