Smart Switch

Whats people's thoughts on using Smart Switch? Does it take unnecessary files over? Is it better to start with a clean slate? I kind of feel over the years smart switch takes files that are redundant but take up space. I'm about to set up my S22 ultra 512gb from Note 20 ultra 256gb so space isn't a problem yet but don't want to waste it. I know without smart switch it takes longer too.

Hi @whyharri, Smart Switch allows you the option to select different files to transfer over. If you're looking to reduce clutter, you could select only the files that are most important (e.g contacts) and manually install other things from scratch (such as apps) as it will give you a chance to filter through what you need and use.

I regurly use smart switch with my devices it's been a extremely helpful extra from samsung
