I am frustrated trying to convert hand writing to text with SPen on S25 Ultra. I used "create note" and the title area worked fine, but the body of the message shows pale gray handwriting and no option to convert to text.

On the Tab S10+, handwriting in the title area converts to text right away as with the s25u, but on the tablet, there is also a large white area on which to write, and when finished, I press the screen until "Convert to Text" appears, stretch to highlight all the handwriting and voila, text appears.

What am I missing?

Hi Samsung_AyITYYI,

We understand your frustration, and thank you for bringing this to our attention!

It seems like there are some differences in how handwriting-to-text conversion works between the Galaxy S25 Ultra and the Galaxy Tab S10+. On the S25 Ultra, the handwriting in the body of the note appears pale gray without the option to convert, whereas it works seamlessly on the Tab S10+.

Here are some steps to try:

Check S Pen Settings: Go to Settings > Advanced Features > S Pen > S Pen to Text and make sure it is enabled.

Use Samsung Notes Options: In the Samsung Notes app, after writing in the body section, tap on the 3-dot menu at the top right and select Convert to Text.

Select Handwriting Manually: If the option isn’t appearing automatically, try long-pressing on the handwriting in the body section to select it, then look for the Convert to Text option.

Thank you.

Settings were as you suggested in the first comment.

In notes, I don't see "convert to text" after pressing 3 dots - lots of other choices 😀

Long press does bring up  Convert to text dialog, but it disappears before I can press it.

same problem. Title works fine - converts correctly. Body: recognized partly after long press but didn't recognized rest of handwriting.

Seems to be a lot of problems with new spen - not talking about BT - unable to select Quick Notes (settings, advanced options, S Pen) is greyed out.
