since there isn't MHL support for the s7, pioneer appradio users are stuck with the ultra lame mirrorlink function in the s7 to work on the car head unit.
out of the box plugged in my s7, mirrorlink starts and you get a blank screen on the head unit. I am on firmware version 1.11 (US/Canada).
my previous M8 device worked via mirror link so on a whim I downloaded HTC car app from apkmirror. you have to download the version marked no DPI for it to run.
now everything works as expected via mirrorlink, it is still a far cry from the response time of an MHL connection but it's definitely better than stating at a black screen.
once the app launches, you can close the HTC car app and you have full access to the desktop.
Hello, how about plugging in s7 after installing mirrorlink applications ? You can find mirrorlink applications on http://www.mirrorlink.com/apps. Hope you are able to use mirrorlink applications on your car head unit.
