Does anyone else have their recent apps replaced with recommended apps with no remedy in the latest UI update? I constantly use the recent apps because there are a few apps I use all the time, but now it seems that I don't have that option anymore, and it only gives me a listing for stock apps from Samsung that I never use... I've gone through the settings, in the logical places, but it appears I don't have a proper option to change this... It just allows me to use recommended apps or not have anything show up when I hit the recents button... is there a remedy for this?

Yes, I have a random app that I installed that's now parked there as well... but it doesn't work for others... super annoying that this feature was removed - I use it constantly

They seem to come and go like the Samsung apps bump themselves to the front of the line.

It would be great to have options when downloading these types of updates. I didn't NEED 4.1  because 4.0 was working fine for me.   Now a feature I used heavily is gone.

I agree - an option to revert to the previous iteration of the UI would be great... I'm constantly pulling up those 4 icons, out of habit, only to have the same stock nonsense greet me...

Same, it's nothing but Samsung bloat that I never use. I've tolerated the attempts to force substandard Samsung apps before, because I can uninstall/deactivate most of it. But this might be the last straw Samsung, you're really making me miss my Pixel and it's getting reeeeeal close to upgrade time.

Yeah... it's frustrating... I use Lastpass as my password manager across all my devices. My Samsung Galaxy S21 is the only device where I need to scroll all the way to the bottom of my big list of notifications to tap the Lastpass pinned notification so it will fill in passwords in whatever app or browser window... every other device keeps it at the top so it's just a quick swipe-down and tap to use it. I know they want you to use the Samsung password manager, but I don't want to, and it's been super annoying that they've relegated my choice app to the bottom of the stack... I know you can remove most of the bloatware through ADB without rooting your device, but even if I removed their stock app it doesn't fix this...

The only option it gives is to *not* show the recommendations (the 3 dots up in the search bar). That leaves the bottom area blank - why??!! Tho it's better than being forced to always have unused app icons there, I REALLY need my recent icons back where they were!

I hear you... I tried this too, hoping it would get rid of the "recommended" and return the recent... disappointing. I used this function of the UI all day long...

I'm just here to make sure this topic doesn't die.

The only app that I use in the "suggested" apps, is settings but there was already a shortcut for that. I want those recents back.

You and me both - those app icons are essentially useless....
