Galaxy S
For some reason my wife's S7 won't allow her to uninstall Instagram, it just has the disable option as it was a stock app. Fairly odd since it is not a stock app. Anyone come across this before??
Side note: She's try to uninstall it because of an error with IG that it doesn't show her recent photos to share.

it's not a default stock app. but there could be many reasons for this. for example Root could be a reason, somebody flashed different software in your wifes phone with instagram built in the system could be a reason.. hard to say without knowing anything.

Oh it's a S7 bloat then. S8 doesn't have instagram as default but S7 is.

The IG app probably came installed as part of your carrier's bloatware. So you can't do anything other than disabling it.

I was thinking that as well but I'm on the same carrier (with a S8) and it can be uninstalled from my device

If you're with Rogers it's a preinstalled app that you can't delete. She can disable it, but nothing else.
