Hey Samsung users.

I just bought the S22 and picked up a couple Samsung branded usb-c to 3.5mm adapter. I am using it with my AKG earbuds that came with my S10, it works fine for output to my car's aux, recording voice notes or just listening to music. However when making calls the people on the other end cannot hear me well. They say I sound electronic. Swapped to the other adapter, same problem.

I plug them back into my S10 and make a call and they work fine. Which is so odd.

Samsung support suggested I reset my network settings, which doesn't make sense to me, one shouldn't have anything to do with the other.

Any thoughts?

Tried with 3 different headphones, all with the same outcome. In the end I figured out that if the headset is plugged in before the call is started the audio quality is good. Seems to be something in the handoff between the speaker to the usb c output

Seeing this was how I realized that my new phone, in ADDITION to taking away the micro SD card slot that I just assumed went in every phone along with the SIM card until I opened this one, they ALSO took away the headphone jack.

Manufacturers should need to make big, obvious announcements about tech for about 2 generations when removing features like that - I expect that new tech will only add more features & do more things better, not take away things that I love. Wireless headphones that are much easier to lose, heavier, & will be useless when the batteries die, in addition to being really expensive, always seemed pointless to me for those reasons, I had no intention of ever leaving team wired headphones.

Like, "We're offering you wireless headphones BECAUSE YOUR OLD WIRED ONES WON'T WORK ANYMORE", or at least pushing "wired headphone adapter" as an alternative order-with.
