Samsung has consistently marketed its devices as having refresh rates that drop as low as 1Hz, but testing has shown that the actual minimum refresh rate is 24Hz for the S22, S23, and S24 series, and 48Hz for the S21 Ultra. This discrepancy between advertised and actual specifications is misleading and potentially deceptive to consumers.
Samsung has been using LTPO (low-temperature polycrystalline oxide) displays since the Note 20 Ultra, which was released in 2020. LTPO displays are capable of achieving very low refresh rates, but Samsung's implementation has consistently fallen short of expectations.
We urge Samsung to address this issue and ensure that its devices meet the advertised specifications. We believe that consumers should be able to trust that the products they purchase perform as advertised. In reference to the LTPO technology, there are some concerns that need to be addressed. Despite having the necessary hardware, the issue of the LTPO not dropping to 1Hz when the phone is on AOD or when viewing static content persists. It is crucial that this issue be acknowledged and resolved to ensure accurate adaptive refresh rate performance.
Furthermore, the adaptive refresh rate should function more precisely. For instance, when watching a 50fps video, the refresh rate should adjust to 50Hz, and when playing games at 90fps, the refresh rate should be 90Hz.
As this is the fourth generation of adaptive refresh rate technology, it is concerning that these issues have persisted for four years. Misrepresentation is unacceptable, and consumers should raise awareness to prompt Samsung to provide a more accurate LTPO.

I don't think if you enable all screen features running it will ever drop to 1hz. Even when you have specific screener in AoD it will not drop... I don't see a purpose to drop to 1HZ but if it's using 50HZ for 50fps videos that had to be addressed. But to say I don't feel the difference between videos and games in my day2day use even when switch screens performance is good and adaptive.

What do you mean doesn't have the purpose we don't need 24 refresh for AOD or anything still, pixel 8 pro drops to 1hz so it's not an android issue just a samsung issue. It's not a good ltpo for 5ᵗʰ generation and 1hz is not unnecessary, tell me why always on display needs 24hz, why does reading an article without touching a screen need 24 refreshes. I'm also a samsung fan but this has to be fixed and I don't understand why they are still limiting to 24hz, if pixel can drop to 1hz than samsung must fix up.
