Bought my Fold 4 about 8 months ago. 2 weeks ago, black screen when I unfold the screen, with a strange speaker sound. Check the international community, looks like I am not alone.
Try factory reset, but problem remain. I think it is not software issue.
Service Center said it is a hinge issue, need to replace the hinge together with the inner screen. Mine still under guarantee, but they said there is a scratch on the bottom of the hinge, means my guarantee is void. The cost for repair is USD 500 (7.8 Rupiah). I complained to HQ Service Center, their solution is giving me USD 320 discount (5 Juta). So, i need to pay USD 180 (2.8 juta). When I contacted local service center for repair, they said they do not have stock for the spare part. The spare part still under production, so I need to wait at least 14 working days to wait for the spare part. 1 month wasted with nonfunctional expensive phone, and only God's know when it will get repaired.
I bought Samsung phone starting S3 up to S20, Samsung Note (Loved Note 7), change my Note 20 to Fold 4 for bigger screen, only enjoy for 8 months to find myself need to spend another USD 180 for something that is not my fault. Well done, Samsung.
