My Fold 4 will be one year old Dec 29 2023. Three months after I purchased it the inner screen got a black line where it folds. Samsung repaired it for me . Five months later same thing black line down the center of screen.. Was told to send it in through my provider, , two weeks later was sent back to store unfixed and no reason why.. Device care wants $750.00 to fix.. This is my personal work phone and it was taken care of ,has case since new., babied phone.
Question - Anyone else run into the Inner screen black line issue, or where Samsung won't cover issue?
Is it worth fighting for or switch to different brand with better repair and service staff?
That just happened to me 2 weeks right after the one year manufacturer warranty . Even though I have the insurance, they still want 650$ for phone replacement. Is this not fixable? Dang!
I can purchase a screen online for 500 , or they want 700 to replace it, samsu ng won't help me , telus won't help me as its still factory warrenty until end of month. And been paying provider 15 month for last year and tbey won't even call me me back So last night I ordered a pixel 8 pro and drop both samsung and telus when it arrives. Sad thing my gf has 23 ultra , both kids have flip 4 and all our home appliances and electronics are samsung. I will never drop another penny on there brand. Spend my money elsewhere from now on. Over a repair they won't cover.
Ya same thing has happened to me got the phone was less than 2 months old and has a giant black line in the center and cannot use it. I'm still not sure how to go about getting it fixed
same with mine. i got about 15 months out of it til the factory screen cover started lifting and destroying the screen. and 5 months with it being "iffy" but not black center line and non responsive inside. same rhetoric.. send it to the store (ps: 1250kms away)
