I connected to my linux machine's file system using files app's network storage SFTP, I cannot find symbolic links showing up on my phone and also find no way to get into root directory.

Hi Siam11651,

The Samsung Files app's SFTP feature doesn't fully support symbolic links or provide a straightforward way to access the root directory of your Linux machine.

The Files app often treats symbolic links as special files and doesn’t display them as clickable paths. This behavior depends on how the SFTP server handles symbolic links and the app's capabilities.

If the Files app doesn’t work with symbolic links, consider using third-party apps like Solid Explorer or MiXplorer. They often have better support for symbolic links over SFTP.

Alternatively, use SMB/NFS instead of SFTP for easier access to the Linux filesystem.

Thank you.
