not sure what else to say

4 other monitors work fine with this PC, and ps5 doesn't seem to have issues with the m5, just my surface pro (via the dock)

surface detects it, does the resolution dance, then off.    then on, then off, then on, then off until monitor eventually goes back to standby sleep

Hi, what is the model number of the device?

Also, can you confirm if the other monitors are Samsung as well?

Hi Bradg, When the PC screen does not appear or the PC is not recognized, check the power supply of the PC and then reconnect the HDMI cable between the PC and product.

When the symptom persists, check that the PC is in Sleep mode. When the set resolution is not matched, the screen may flicker.

Also, try with a different HDMI cable.

its a dual monitor setup

1 monitor works fine, the samsung m5 does not. swapping the cables does not make a difference

Hi Bradg, As you had connected via the dock, please check if there is any loose connection. If everything is fine, then it might be some compatibility issues. We suggest you to check with surface pro support to see if they can help you further.

Microsoft says since every monitor works except the samsung m5, it's clearly a Samsung problem. and I completely agree

Hi, If the issue is with M5 then it should also happen with PC and PS5. It seems that there might be compatibility issues with Surface Pro and M5.

I've also never seen a loose displayport connection, it's not the issue here.
