Older TV new soundbar remote function

Have an older TV

UN55KU6500FXZA 
and trying to get the remote to control my new soundbar T415. I have optical out and the soundbar is setup/designed to have TV remote control it but i think the TV is too old (2016) to have this built in. Can i buy a new remote and get it to work?

Bought the sound bar from Walmart. TV i dont recall. Had it for 5-6 years. Maybe amazon?

Hi, If the TV is compatible with a universal remote then only you can control the soundbar using a TV remote. It doesn't work with other remote control models and also the TV is a US model. So, we request you to contact Samsung US support.
