RCS Encryption, when will Samsung Messages support this?

Recently read an article (https://twitter.com/MobileSyrup/status/1329518976750268416?s=19) that indicates that Google is adding encryption to Google Messages, it would be great to know if Samsung will follow suit? Google can test and Samsung can introduce once Google is confident with it.
