We bought our Samsung frame TV 65” on November 2021. The remote was working fine and we didn’t need to be charged since we bought it.

Since last couple of weeks the remote shows low battery and  doesn’t charge using charger or solar under light or sun.

I read in Samsung community in other countries this is a common issue for Samsung Frame TV remotes.

Have you got any solution yet?

Hi, we are sorry to hear this issue from you.

If the battery is low, your remote control may not function properly or may respond slowly. Use a USB port for faster charging. When the remote is not in use, remember to expose it to light. This will extend the remote's operating time.

Option 1: Through the solar panel

While your remote can be charged outside in the sun, it can also be charged with your indoor lights. Simply set the remote down with the solar panel facing up to charge the remote. You can do this in your living room while your lights are switched on or you can place it near a window to soak in natural sunlight.

Option 2: With a USB-C cable

If you need to charge our remote right away, you can use a USB-C charging cable. Plug one end of the cable into the remote’s charging port and the other end into a port on the TV or into a Samsung wall charger adaptor.

If you have tried the above steps and still the issue persists, you can also try the following:

Restart your TV by switching it off and unplug your TV from the power outlet for a minute. Then re-plug your TV back in and test whether the remote is responsive

Hold the Back and Play/Pause buttons simultaneously for at least 5 seconds or until a message appears on your TV indicating that the remote is now connected. Test to see if your remote is responsive.
Point the remote towards yourcameraof your mobile phone and press the power button.

If you see the infrared light, turn on your TV using the power button on the TV directly. Then, try controlling the TV again by pointing the remote directly at the Samsung logo.

Hi Helenna,

I have the same problem. The remote indicated low battery but solar and plugging it in would not charge it. Eventually it completely ran out of battery and is now useless. There is no way to charge it and resetting the tv and pressing the back and play buttons does nothing. Was there any other suggestion?

the tv is about a year old

We are in the same situation, have tried this trouble shooting and the remote remains useless.    Please advise how to obtain a replacement.  TV is less than one year old

Thanks Helenna,

I have tried all those troubleshooting, also I have tried to charge the remote many times with charger or solar with no luck.

Obviously, it seems the remote’s battery had a manufacturing issue as the remote is working fine just the battery doesn’t charge, I haven’t tried to charge the remote before since I bought it a year ago. Just now when the battery died, I am trying to charge it and found out the battery not charging.

Anyways, have you guys have a solution to fix or repair the battery?

thanks

I have the same issue. The remote won’t take any charge from flash charger or solar. The smart things app won’t connect either. Just a terrible experience with this tv. Everything feels cheap and flimsy despite the price tag and now can’t control it at all. Appalling for an expensively priced tv.
please advise

Hi,

The same issue is happening on my end.  The remote has been completely useless for a couple of days now.  Have tried to charge with USB, and set under light, and it will not charge or work.  Have also tried the reset suggestion by Hellena, and it also did not work.  The is unacceptable for a TV that is a year old . . . . and there is no other way to control the TV, so without the remote it is useless.  I even tried to use the remote app on my phone, but will it not connect, as you need to accept a prompt on the TV . . . . which of course you cannot do without the remote control . . . . can you someone at Samsung please assist with this issue?
