I'm just gonna let you know that if you lose your phone number or someone steal your phone with your SIM in it (obviously), you can say bye bye to your Samsung account. Because the 2FA only works with your SIM not E-mail, unless you walk around your backup code.
I know someone who lost he samsung account with all his notes, password on samsung pass, clouds and anything you can think of.

I don't know how Samsung managed to mess that up 🤦

This is fixed for Samsung!!!!!!!

I just restored my lost S20 Ultra to my new Fold 4 via 2FA

Samsung now has alternate ways of sending the 2FA request so I was able to receive it and do a full restore !!!!

I see this is an old threat. But it is the first one that did come up with a Google search.

I just walked into the same trap the other day and almost lost my phone as I was not able to login to Samsung Find My Mobile, now apparently called SmartThings Find. I am logging in with my Google account and Samsung insisted on 2FA based on a number they send to your mobile.

Well, not very helpful if you don't have access. What is usually the case when you want to find it. Luckily it ended up in the lost&found of some of the places I've been to.

So beware, Samsung "Find my x" is not working in the default account set up. I'm trying to find out if I can change this somehow.

Cheers, A. Noyed
