Hello Samsung, first time using the trade in option. I was wondering how to trade in my phone? I have reported the device I want to trade in but I do not know how. What are the process? Do I backup my device and factory reset it? Do I wait till I receive my new phone then transfer data from old to new before factory reset? Do I have to go to a samsung shop (it's really far from me)? Do I ship old device?
Moreover, which IMEI number should I use? The first or second?
Answers to these would be greatly appreciated

beside above on the link, make sure you keep below in mind.

Take a backup of your phone using samsung Switch.

After your receive new phone, put your sim card in, start it, and complete data transfer.

For trade-in, make sure to remove google and samsung accounts from the phone before you factory reset.

Also, take videos of your phone physical condition, cover all sides ,screen, and also take a video showing it has been factory reset. just start your phone, and it should open the setup screen. power off it again.

once your new phone is shipped, you will receive shipping instructions. Take a video of packing your phone into the box. Also, take a video of the weight of your phone when fedex weighs your package.

keep all proofs. it will be helpful to you.

If you are talking about the S25 series, I suggest reading the terms & conditions of any trade in offer. The steps are at the end: https://www.samsung.com/ca/offer/galaxy-s25-series-trade-in/?cid=ca_ow_app_s-members_galaxy-s25-seri...

They send you an email with the shipping label and steps. It should say a date for when you need to send your device in by. It's normally 2-3 weeks so gives you time to move all your stuff over to the new device. :)

Hi ᦔꪖડꫝ,

Yes, as adviced by silbie123, when your new Galaxy device ships, we’ll send you an email with a pre-paid shipping label and instructions on how to prepare your trade-in device to be shipped.

I wouldn't use the trade-in this year. It's a flawed system. Last year I used it to trade my S22 Ultra in Violet and 256G storage, it didn't have double the storage. I received $850 for a device that was 2 years old. This year wanting to trade my S24 Ultra 1 TB with Samsung Exclusive Titanium Green, it does have double the storage they want to offer $1150.
