I downloaded 50 mp4 files to a USB stick, each of the names end with a number. When I try to access the files, the TV is only showing every second file, odd numbered files only.

Why is this happening?

Also, is there anyway to display the files as a list instead of icons?

The current software version is T-KTM2LAKUC-1350-7 and the TV Model is UN50NU7100.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Hi Debrastus,

The issue you're facing with your Samsung TV displaying only odd-numbered MP4 files could be due to the way the TV's file indexing or media player software reads the USB drive.

Please ensure the USB stick is formatted as FAT32 or NTFS. Some TVs have limitations with certain file systems, which can cause incomplete file indexing.

If the file names have unusual patterns or are very long, the TV might misinterpret them. For example, using special characters, spaces, or inconsistent numbering might affect how files are indexed.

Verify that all MP4 files adhere to the TV’s supported codec specifications (e.g., H.264, AAC). If some files use unsupported codecs, the TV might skip them.

Try renaming the files to a simpler format, ensuring no special characters are included. Backup your files and reformat the USB to FAT32 or NTFS, then copy the files back.

Check for updates by going to: Settings > Support > Software Update on your TV.

Thank you.
