Recently I heard in a YoutTube video that the Samsung Health Monitor is finally available in more countries including Canada (after the Feb 11th update)
Is that right?
I still can't access it neither on my phone nor my Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. (my watch and even my Samsung account are both purchased and created in Canada)
Hi Hamed-Azimi, Samsung Health Monitor application is available on Galaxy Watch Active 2 and later released wearable models which support the sensors to measure blood Pressure.
I purchased a watch4 last week. It doesn't, have the ECG and BP. Shall I wait for an upgrade or return it. If it doesn't have these two there is no point paying for such a heavy price.
Can somebody tell if the absence of bp and ecg app is due to hardware or software limitations?
As far as I know, Galaxy Watch 4 has those 2 (ECG and BP) in hardware level. Just the software had restrictions which is being resolved these days. I'm not sure why the moderator posted that reply which kinda sounds like if watch4 doesn't have those sensors. (I still don't have access to it, in Canada. Waiting for March software update to see if it resolves)
But to make sure, I would suggest ask one more person who may know more than me about what hardware are included in the watch. I'm not an expert.
Thanks for the reply. I will wait till 31st March. If it doesn't works by that time I am gonna return this watch. Probably never buy a samsung product again. Enough of false promises.
In all fairness, this is hardly a case of false promises. It's a case of you not reading the disclaimers or ensuring that it had the features you were most interested in. There are very easy mods out there for a workaround but you might be going got the trouble only to have the official software show up within days. And to give a hard deadline on software development and deployment is also a bit unrealistic. But hey, if you want to boycott an entire company and reject some very high quality products, (the quality varies according to price point which is typical) over a feature that was never promised by any particular date, have at it.
