Hi,
I'm in Canada and can't seem to find out the Medication tracking feature in Samsung Health. I was really looking forward to using it with my s25 ultra and getting reminders on my watch 7 to keep track of my meds. Maybe it's there and I just need to do something to unlock, or do you know if and or when it will become available in Canada, if it's not?
Thx,
Joel

Most of the time, when it comes to a health feature, it's not because Samsung doesn't want to make it available in Canada. It's the Canada law doing this restrictions. It need to be approved by the government and after that Samsung can release this option for their Canadian user. We will see what Samsung moderator will answer to your post.

I figured it might be something like that. Still curious to know for sure and to see if there's a plan to introduce it still, and timeline.
Thanks for your help

This is definitely accurate process.
For now we do not know if an approval is pending or not.

This feature was announced in 2023:
https://news.samsung.com/global/samsung-announces-new-medications-tracking-feature-for-samsung-healt...

Here is a YouTube video on it:

Finally an XDA thread on the matter:
https://xdaforums.com/t/samsung-health-enabling-medications-feature.4650901/

I'd caution reading through fully before even considering installation of thr APK file mentioned therein, as there is no guarantee it would work as the aforementioned approval process by the Canadian Governments Health division. Ive not read that thread at all nor endorsing it just providing a search results for those interested for thought and curiosity only. I'm not responsible for what happens to anyone circumventing official approvals from Canadian Government or from SamsungMobile directly.

I don't know. I'm in Nigeria not Canada. I still have it on my S24 but not on my S25. I still use both phones. Don't know why?

Hi Joel,

Yes, as said by Parseneault76 when it comes to health-related features, the delay or unavailability is often due to regulatory requirements. Features such as Medication Tracking need to comply with local laws and approvals from health authorities before being rolled out.

We'll consider this as valuable feedback regarding the Medication Tracking feature in Samsung Health. We understand how important this feature can be for managing your health. Samsung is committed to bringing innovative features to users worldwide, and as soon as regulatory approvals are secured to make these features available.

Thank you for your patience and understanding!

Is there somewhere we can petition Samsung Canada and/or the Canadian government to expedite the approval process with the Canadian Health regulators/authorities to finally make this valuable feature available to Galaxy users ?? Or anything else us users can do to make it known that we urgently want use of it??
