I have been using the Samsung Health App in conjunction with a Samsung Active 2 Watch for almost 2 years. When I exercise on my elliptical cross trainer, my watch measures my heart rate and sends the results to my phone - a Galaxy s10+. Until the latest update to the app, the Exercise section viewing History would adjust the heart rate zones in line with my age, so that I could see how much time I was working in the aerobic, weight control etc zones. Since the update, it only shows the zones giving a maximum heart rate of  171-189, and an Aerobic zone as 133-151 which at my age is way too high (I am a senior citizen). I used to be able to tap the screen and it would show me the limits for my age, but it no longer does so, and it makes it difficult for me to see what zone I have been working in as the values shown do not take into account my age. I also use a chest strap heart monitor which came with my elliptical trainer, and frequently the heart rates differ. I wonder which is the more accurate!

Is this an oversight, or has it been done deliberately? Can the previous feature be reinstalled somehow? It's very irritating when you make changes to the way the app functions with no explanations being given.

Hi, Welcome to the Samsung Members Community Canada. Please try to unpair and re-pair the device.

Just navigate to and open the phone's Settings, and then tap Connections > Bluetooth. Tap the Settings icon next to the watch, and then tap Unpair.

Also, we suggest you to backup and reset.

To back up data saved in your Galaxy Watch Active2, launch the Galaxy Wearable app on your mobile device, tap Home → Account and backup → Back up and restore → Back up data and tick the item to back up, and then tap Back up. The data will be saved in Samsung Cloud.

Here are the steps to reset. Open the Galaxy Wearable app on your phone, and tap the Home tab. Swipe to and tap General, and then tap Reset > Reset.

I have the same issue using a Garmin heart rate monitor. The heart rate zones do not take account of my age.  I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Samsung Health app and repairing the heart rate monitor - neither worked.   @georgine

I am having exactly the same problem. Samsung support seems deaf to my request for support to resolve this issue. I have a Watch 3 but the problem clearly is the Samsung Health App.

I am 73 and very fit but now I cannot see any Maximum or Anaerobic data as heart rate is not adjusted for my age!

The solution posted by the Canadian contributor did not resolve the issue.

Hi Samsung! I'm having the same problem and it is not the device! My Galaxy watch 2 is giving me the right data, it is your software in the app health monitor.
Support  have not helped at all, and the last message I've got was they were going to sende it to further examination.
I hope this further examination wil do the job!

OK, here goes another attempt.  I am 73, but the zones in the heart rate monitor of the exercise portion of the health app are for a 20-year-old.  It shows my aerobic level is 133-151, but the 220-age formula shows that is the maximum for me.  All was fine until an update of a few days ago, then the zones changed.  It still knows my age (although it is now greyed out so it cannot be changed), so it is obviously just ignoring it.  The phone and the watch talk to each other and the data moves, so it is not a hardware problem.  The problem is the zones assigned to the heartrate based on my age by the software.  How do I get the software to get back to paying attention to my age, which it knows?  Will the next update fix that?  Failing that, can you provide contact information for the person in Samsung who thinks encouraging a 73-year-old to try for a heart rate in 180s is a good idea?

Ditto! Mine started giving me high heart rate zones sometime in the last two days as well. I just tried changing my birthday in my Samsung Account, but i'm not sure how long that takes to propagate. I'd like to know how to fix things to the way they were on Dec 6th

On Note 20 Ultra max zone shows 189, should be 150 at my age 70. Cannot adjust
