I have lost my Samsung S20 FE 5G phone on 31st july. I have been tracking it on smartthings find device. It keeps sending me email updates daily with location of my phone and when i go on the website it shows me the image i have attched to this message. Screenshot 2024-08-04 210536.png
So my question is- Is it showing my phone location on the date and time mentioned in the image i.e ( August 4th 20:06)?
Also my phone location has changed multiple times but change in location is very minor, it shows me in this vicnity only.
Like for example my phone location updated on august 2nd - (image 2) Screenshot 2024-08-02 134234.png

Please help me explain this and how can i find my phone. Thank you.

My take.

Offline Device mode allows your phone to preserve power and still sends updates to any other Samsung phone that passes by. Newer phones use UWB while older phones will use Bluetooth (my guess bit not certain on the latter)

The location changing ever so slightly is most likely dependant on the range of other Samsung users passing by, the closer more accurate, the father less accurate. This or some small animal is trying to eat it or take it away, lol. (Jk)

Hi vivek2,

Very sorry to hear that your device has been lost. SmartThings Find Track location feature will send you updates every 15 minutes with the device’s latest location.

Note: As you are using SmartThings Find to locate a stolen phone, do not go directly to the location on the map. Inform the authorities and let them retrieve it for you.

When you select Start, SmartThings Find will begin sending you location updates. If you no longer want to receive updates, simply select Stop.

If you are still unable to locate your phone or tablet, your carrier may have a service to help locate or suspend your phone. Please contact your carrier for additional information.

Thank you.
