Chromebook 4 Language Settings

I received a Chromebook 4 as a promotional reward after purchasing a S21 phone. When I powered it on, the language was set to French which I do not understand. I need to switch it to English. I have googled and youtubed to no avail! I don't have the options it guides you to select in the Language settings. I can add English but the option to save it is not there anywhere! Please help. This chromebook is useless to me as is and I have spent hours trying to figure it out!
