Hi, smasnugg! 🙌🏻
Galaxy Tab A9 that feels laggy after the One UI 7 update could be due to software bugs settling in after a major upgrade, insufficient free storage, resource-heavy apps running in the background, or even a hardware issue.
Please make sure you keep at least 10–20% storage free and clear big app caches (Settings > Apps > choose app > Storage > Clear cache) and disable RAM Plus or set it to the smallest size (Settings > Battery and device care > Memory > RAM Plus).
Turn Power saving mode off so background sync and CPU performance aren’t throttled, set Motion smoothness to Standard (60 Hz) if the option exists on your model.
Reduce or disable animations in Developer options (enable them by tapping Build number 7× in Settings > About tablet > Software information, then set Window/Transition/Animator scales to 0.5× or Off).
Update all apps via Galaxy Store and Play Store and restart the tablet to reindex. If stutter persists, wipe cache partition and factory reset are the last resort.
To do wipe cache partution, turn off your phone, then connect it to your laptop or computer with a data cable.
Press and hold the Power + Volume Up buttons until you enter Recovery Mode. Use the volume buttons to navigate and the power button to select. Choose "Wipe cache partition," then "Reboot system now".
If performance is still poor afterward, back up your data and perform a Factory data reset. Repeat the step before, but this time you should choose "Wipe data/factory reset". After the progress is done, you need to do some settings since your tablet is as good as new.
If you find the answers from the Members here helpful, please tap the three vertical dots at the top right corner of their comments and mark them as the solution. ✅️
Hope this helps, may God bless you! 😇

Already factory reset but still. If it was a factory defect, Can I claim the warranty?

Yes, you can usually claim the warranty for a factory defect, as long as the product is still within the warranty period and you haven’t made any unauthorized modifications.
To file your claim, you’ll need the product itself, proof of purchase, the warranty card or details, and evidence that the issue has been ongoing. However, keep in mind that warranty claims are subject to certain terms and conditions.
Most importantly, the device must be in good physical condition. To qualify for a warranty claim, it shouldn’t have any user-caused damage. In short, you’ll need to show that the problem occurred due to a manufacturing fault, not because of how you used the device.

I'm a Galaxy Tab A9 user as well, but during use after the update it doesn't feel lag or the like. Try to delete the cache first because there is a possibility

Ada kemungkinan memang dari One UI 7 nya itu sendiri kurang optimal buat Tab A9, karena saya pun pakai Tab S9 FE rasanya lebih berat dibanding di One UI 6.1, semoga ada perbaikan di update update selanjutnya
