Solar cell Remote control not working!

Bought the 65" Q70A QLED 4K Smart TV (2021) two weeks ago.  Seem to be having problems with the solar cell remote control.  It switches on and off fine.  But, none of the other remote control buttons work.  The TV freezes at the last program that was played previously. This has happened twice now.  When it happened the first time, I tried recharging the remote with a power cable and did a reset of the pairing. But, why is this happening so frequently. Please advice. Thanks.

Hmm that's odd, @Watsup. Would you be able to check the battery of your remote and let us know? To do so, got to Home > General > Power and Energy Saving > Available Remote Battery

Thanks SamsungTina.  Battery power seems fine.  I have had this problem three times since buying the TV on June 15, 2021.  Each time, I had checked the battery power and, in fact, charged it with a power cable.  Within a few minutes (less than 5), it says fully charged. Switching the TV on and off is not a problem.  But, once switched on, none of the other buttons work.

Hi...I am also having the same issue with my tv remote(different model).Remote turns tv on and off but no other remote functionality works.

Can I get some assistance please?

Hi, am having same issue. Is this resolved? Bought tv in July. Solar remote keeps discharging. And I make sure I keep it inverted for it to charge, but it just doesn't happen. 

It's so annoying. You should have kept it normal remote as it was.  At least it worked!

Hi @Saubacharya, I'm sorry to hear that you're not happy with your remote so far. Would you please be able to clarify if your remote charges at all? To check your remote battery please do to Home > General > Power and Energy Saving > Available Remote Battery

If it shows as charged, please send us an email (at members.au@samsung.com) with your full name, TV's proof of purchase (such as the receipt), compliance plate and contact details.

The solar cell remote isn't working. The only thing it does is turn the tv on and off. I have charged the remote a couple of times using USB and still none of the other functions work!!!!
