Is there a fix for getting duplicate text message read aloud on my Galaxy buds plus. I am using Google messages as default text app. It's the only one in my notifications that is set to read notifications aloud. When I get a text message it reads aloud the message twice. I have a poor memory so maybe my phone knows that and thinks it will help with remembering what the message said.
Hi Kevin1973, Thank you very much for providing the information. It seems like there is an issue with the Google messages application. I suggest you use Samsung messages for now and contact Google support and submit your feedback on this issue to them.
I would use the Samsung messages app if it handled group messages properly. On my s9 there was a setting in the app to grouo the messages togetherl "group conversation send messages as group conversation by default".... I can't find that option on my s20
Hi Kevin1973, the Samsung Messages app send the messages separately to the members of the group created. I suggest you contact the carrier and check if they provide the chat features.
I use VZW Message+ and I have the same problem. Its annoying AF. Not only will it read the message twice. But if I don't mark the message as read, upon recieveing another new message, the already read twice text will be read again. Followed by the new message read twice. Then I'll get a 3rd message all in a few minutes I'll have heard the 1st message read a total of 6 times. The 2nd message 4 times. And now the 3rd message twice. There's been times when I didn't have cell service, once I regained service and all my messages came thru.... I about crushed my buds. It has been to annoying I finally turned off the read notifications ability. This didnt always do this. But I can't pinpoint when the idiotic nonsence started.
Can you please put some effort into fixing this Samsung? It's a disaster, it repeats all app notifications continually until you open and close the notification pane 50 times.
