Bought Galaxy Watch 6 44mm. When I was wearing watch in my sleep it sheared skin off my wrist. To the point of bleeding. Sharp edges of speaker grill and design are to blame. You can see pieces of skin stuck inside the grill. Watch 4,5,6 and 5 pro all have sam eissue to my knowledge. Had 0 issues with previous models.

To say I disappointed does not describe it. It's 100% my last samsung watch I am buying. Watch advertised for sleep tracking and fitness tracking. Don't see myself using it for that due to potential of injury.

Hi Tony_gwh,

We certainly understand how disappointing that must be for you and sincerely apologize for the injury. We kindly request you to seek the medical help for the skin injury.

We will definitely consider it as feedback for the design and communicate to the relevant team. Also, please get the watch examine by the service technician once.

Thank you.

You'd better put some serious escalation on that. I smell more than flesh cooking on this issue!

I contacted Samung support literally 10 minutes after i found it was cut. I provided them with photos and all supporting documentation (recipt, serial # of the watch etc.). Reply after two days was to send it to Samsung for inspection. In case of liquid damge, external damage i will pay for shipping and inspection. In term i contacted support and asked what i am getting here? You get to inspect your design flaw and i have issue with return policy in sotre i bought it. It's only 15 days and out of these 8 already passed. So by the time it goes back and forth i am stuck with same watch, no option to return it and no refund watsoever. So what will happen in case it inspected and found out within same look and feel as some other watches i inspected in store (thogh GW5 pro had sharper edges). Aswer was nothing. So i excheanged watch for a new one (unpacked) sicne store offered no refund and i have only few days to act on. Bottom line i will try to sell it online and call it a day. There will be no Samsung watches for me any more and sicne my S20FE which is hardly 2.5 years old need restarting almost any other day to keep bugs at bay, i will look for other options sicne i am not bound to Samsung ecosystem by watch. I owned Samsung wearables sicne 2015 and first Samsung phone S7 was boguht because of the werable.

Bruh! That's seriously extreme!

That's a serious design flaw! Lawyer up my man lawyer up! This is going to be a BIG one!

"Class" is now in sess-ON!! See where I'm going on this?

It's not just engineers that are in involved with Wearable product design but also those in health care and should have someone in terms of legal and 1 just 1 person with common sense that puts their fingers and thums across the device - even someone visually impaired would've picked out a sharp grill facing anywhere close to skin contact would say Yo Ya better rethink speak placement and port deign on this one!

It works like this. Indeed there are shapr edges due to manufacturing. Some sharper some bit less, depedning on tool wear. Edges are close to the skin. much closeser comapred to GW Active 2. If you wear watch slightly loose and it moves along the hand for one reason or another it will grab on skin in it not totally smooth. If you left handed. You get waht i got. End of story. It really screwed design descision on 4 generations of watch. GW Active 2 and 3 been nice. I owned Fit2, Gear Sport and GW Active 2 and none been like this.

I do have engineering background and was at some point sepcializing in failure anlysis. And by looking under microscope i can tell was tool sharp or well used and did they painted first and drilled later or it was other way around.

Galaxy Watch Active 2 (2.5 years old now dead by freezing screen and falling off of sensor cover) vs Galaxy Watch 6. You clearly see diffrence in loaction of grill and GWA2 had very smooth aluminum.20240804_182002_1000027761_1722810005.jpg

Extra bonus from powering watches and deleting profile of Galaxy Watch 6 all together is my phone stopped misbehaving ! I still want to recover my money from Galaxy Watch 6 purchase but it seem unlikeley thouigh the store which don't consider sharp edge and cutting customer wrist as defect. so i am stuck with 360$ worth of light paperweight.
