Why do all plastic phone cases melt in the heat?

Hello Samsung community. As you can see my phone case is wearing out. Can someone please help me understand why do some phone cases that are made of plastic wheir out from the heat? I use otter box.

Someone help me out. Because my phone case is bent and i need a new one.

What do you guys know?

I personally use samsungs silicone strap/ring cases for the Z Flip 3 just because they're generally higher quality than the cheaper cases all over Amazon.

On my old devices I commonly used spigen though. Never had issues with those cases.

I use a cheap brand on amazon for my phone case. I just make sure that i don't bring my phone to high temperature or near fire.. :) have a great day!
