Hello all. 

What is actually going on with the update? It was slated for a global release on the 7th of April, with the USA and some EU countries ro recieve it 3 days later. AFAIK, this has come to be, however, in Australia- we are still waiting with no concrete information on when it's set to be released. 

Is it the end of the world? No. 

But companies should be held accountable for their actions or inactions accordingly. As users of their phones for business and personal purposes, we SHOULD be able to have some level of consistentcy and confidence in their products. Missed releases or lack of information directly from the "horse's mouth" breeds nothing but disappointment for the customer.

I hear (some) of you saying "But OneUI6.1 is stable... " and be that as it may, it doesn't negate the prior information. The tech space moves fast and for a global leader to not keep up with the current trends is a worrisome sign for the future.

It's been posted on Reddit a few times, and they said global rollout FROM the 7th of April, not ON. Samsung really needs to be clearer and communicate with us more because there's a lot of misinformation out there.

If not by Monday, Aus update will be in May. Plus, only some variants of S24 ultras will get update in April, rest is scheduled for May.

I'm sorry, but why would the S24 series have to wait until May? When most of the world will have it in April? There's absolutely no way.

Mexico and Columbia having their release in May. Plus, initially released to EU and some other countries, have been stopped for now.

So either by Monday or by May. Who knows.

Samsung is a *** company.

As they prioritized Korea first, users should prioritise company that value them first.
Treat them reciprocally.

It's ridiculous, I own Samsung's most expensive phone (fold 6) and yet I'm stuck on Android 14 and one ui 6 while the rest of the world enjoys the new one ui 7.
Things like this no one ever mentions as an advantage for Apple but Apple absolutely destroys samsung when it comes to updates.
