So I like to download a lot of different lanchers to test on my device, but since then the ram is always at 2.5 GB or above. Is that normal? Are the lanchers taking all the ram up? How do I lower my ram usage?

I think most device's lately have at least 4GB of ram or more. I wouldn't be concerned with the about of ram being used unless your device is Performing poorly. keeping unused apps closed in the background helps and occasionally doing a device care clean up helps also. think of it like this. unused ram is useless and your device stores needed apps and services data in ram to help your device run smoothly.

Thanks TBone.

Hi AbdelrahmanMatar, You could reduce the RAM usage by closing the background apps. I suggest you to open the Settings → Device care → Memory →  tap on "Clean now".
