Hi Everyone!

 I've had my first Samsung for about three months now. Still trying to get used to it...

 Since day one - I've been having an issue with my phone that is dating some of my pictures to December 31, 1969. There's no rhyme or reason to it. For example, I could take 4-5 pictures in a row - and one or more in between is dated Dec. 31, 1969.

 This is terribly frustrating... as I'll have to go in, and manually change the date of each picture... It's even more frustrating if you don't know the original date the picture was taken!

 Has anyone else had this issue before??!.. And if so - what have you done to correct it? Is it something I can do... or do I contact someone else at Samsung??...

 Thank you so much in advance for all of your time & assistance! I really, really appreciate it! I hope everyone has a wonderful day!!

 Kindest Regards;

December 31st 1969 is a Default "creation" date for Unix, in the Western Hemisphere.

Go to Settings > General Management > Time & Date & either manually enter the correct Time & Date, or use Automatically Network Provided Time & Date.

Hello! Thank you so much for replying (again!) I did as you said: Settings > General Management > Date & Time... and it was already set to Automatic Date & Time & Automatic Time Zone...

...and when I switched from Automatic to Manual Date & Time... it was already showing today's correct Date & Time. So I just switched it back to Automatic.

The only thing I could try that was different, was to turn on was "Set Time Zone Based on Location". Hopefully that will make a difference?... Do you know if there is anything else I should be doing??!...

Thank you again for taking the time to help me!

I think that you have done pretty much everything that I would do.

It's possible, depending on your location / network connectivity, that you may have lost your network connection, and that MAY have affected the Time & Date on your phone?

You *COULD* either reset your network connections ⚠️ You'll need your password(s), or contact your Carrier and ask them to Reset your Network Connection with them.

Go to Settings > General Management and check the Date & Time on your device.

See if you have Automatic Date & Time provided by your Network enabled. If you do & the date is still incorrect, Toggle it OFF & On Again & check.
