I just recently had gotten this. I asked for a 256GB though as there is suppose to be software updates and security up dates for 5 years on these devices now.
Unfortunately the place I asked to Order it screwed me over and got the 128GB. Hard to say if this is just an A35 with A55 software... knock off?.. I'm not sure yet.

Something I am trying to learn is if a Sim card from an old device compromises or bugs a new device. I kind of regret not getting a new Sim card with a new device now I think..

There is a ton of things not right on this device. I asked for a sealed box product. It took over a week to get it after ordering it and I am not sure if the company I had order it was inside of this and messed it all up for me.

I AM TRYING TO CONTACT SAMSUNG DIRECTLY TO HAVE THIS TRADED IN FOR AN A75 DEVICE PLEASE.

SOMEONE RUINED THIS DEVICE ALREADY FOR ME AND RESEALED THE BOX TO MAKE ME FEEL GOOD. I AM NOT HAPPY AT ALL AND WISH I HAD ORDERED DIRECTLY FROM SAMSUNG NOW.

I even asked the company to order screen protector and case for me. When I showed up they didn't have but said they were ordering it all. Not sure if samsung needs to be aware of this company ruining their name/brand. The company is out of Edmonton, Alberta, two stores that I know of called "Mobile Planet".

Mobile Planet (Edmonton) has good reviews.

There's not much stored on a SIM, so it's extremely unlikely that using a previously used SIM would cause any problems.

A SIM (subscriber identification module) for a mobile device cannot “get a virus,” nor can the mobile device that uses the SIM. Android and iOS devices are not capable of being infected with a virus. To date, there has never been a single confirmed case of it ever happening.

Since you purchased the phone from Mobile Planet, contacting Samsung would be pointless.. And actually, you are far more likely to get better support from Mobile Planet, or any Carrier over Samsung Canada, which has notoriously poor customer service.

If you have had the phone for less than 2 weeks, you should be able to exchange it "no questions asked" with Mobile Planet.

Someone told me recently they installed their old Sim into their device and it carried over pictures. Sim cards are still memory cards. Also, you can't believe reviews anymore online. Some company's pay people to write good reviews.
The only thing positive I can say about them is they were willing to take back the A15 I originally purchased from them but I did not even turn on or use because I realized after I got home it was not a 5G device. So I asked them to order an A55 5G and I would pay the difference on the return of the A15. But I wanted the 256GB, case, and screen protectors. And they ordered a 128GB, took well over a week to get it and I asked for a spigen case and they said whatever they could get from their supplier. When I got there they didn't have a case or screen protectors for it. They said they were going to. So I haven't left a review because it's mixed emotions right now.
They wanted to have me remove the device from packaging so they could cut out a screen protector for it. If they new anything more then I did, the A55 5G shares the same housing as an A35 5G. When you look for cases online they fit both A55 5G and A35 5G. That being said. A 128GB A55 5G is still an A35 5G. This is why I asked for a 256GB.

Neither physical or eSIM can store pictures, they simply are not designed to do that!

https://esimusa.com/blog/what-is-stored-on-a-sim-card/#:~:text=No%2C%20pictures%20are%20not%20stored...

The "someone" who told you that is wrong. They likely had images saved to a Cloud Storage account, and their images were restored from the Cloud.

Or, perhaps they have a device will an external sd card, which is not the same as a SIM card.

Mobile Planet does actually have a return policy in Canada.

Yes you can speak with Samsung Canada support, but the level of knowledge is remarkably poor... in almost all cases.

Planet mobile told me in person that they do not have a return policy is what I am saying.. And if that person was lieing about sim cards being able to transfer any information over, I have yet to see why this device is identical to the S9 it was transfered over to.

They have a no return policy actually. I was surprised they took back the A15 other then the fact that I didn't turn it on at all. It was never removed from the original packaging.
