I just got a Galaxy A71, amazing phone, loving it so far. There is one specific thing that's really annoying about Samsung that I've just now discovered. It seems that all modern Samsung phones drop the audio quality considerably for any media when you're on a call. Before that one annoying commenter asks "why do you need to watch stuff while on a call? lol" I'll say that being able to watch TV shows together with friends, especially now with the pandemic, is something I appreciate and was able to do on my previous (much older) motorola phone. I haven't found any reasonable fix for this situation out there and I've seen this posted a few times in forums. Has anyone come up with anything that fixes this??? Can any user with access to OneUI 2.1 tell me if this is something they've fixed?? Are there hopes of Samsung ever looking into this?

I have an A71 also, and have not noted any of these issues. But, I have my phone set up with Wifi calling feature via Bell Mobility. The only issues I've noticed is when I'm not using Wifi calling in my house, as I think I have cellular dead spots in my home. And you provide an example of that's happening? This way I can test for it.

Hey there, thanks for your response. You could replicate this by being in a video call with someone and playing a music on spotify or watching a video on your phone. I'm watching a TV show with my partner who lives in another city over a Google Duo call. Whenever I play the episode while in a call, and it's the same for Netflix, the bitrate drops a lot, and audio quality for the same file becomes a lot worse, to the point it's almost unwatchable. Let me know if you're able to replicate this.

The episodes are downloaded on my phone, so not a connection problem by the way

Hi vitor192, Thank you for taking the time to share this information with us. We haven't heard about this issue before for the Samsung Galaxy A71. However, we will take it as feedback and will forward this to the concerned team to look closely at this issue.

I appreciate the attention a lot! It's an issue I've seen being reported in various websites that is quite obnoxious. I trust Samsung to be able to fix this.
