My A12 has a black screen. When I push the power button I do get a lighter color of black and when I slide my finger across the the screen i can see a bit of color. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Sounds like a hardware failure. Are you able to Boot into Recovery (With the phone off, Press & HOLD the Power button & Volume UP until the phone vibrates & then release BOTH at the same time. Wait a few seconds & you SHOULD see the Recovery Menu, but if you don't, then visit a Samsung Service center to get your phone examined by a tech.
If you do see the Recovery Menu, then if it was my device, I'd Factory Reset, probably too late to think about a Backup before a Factory Reset though.
