Galaxy AHi,
After Android 11 update (One UI 3.1) Caller Id Hiya looks broken. Phone numbers do not get identified. To test I used my another VOIP number that Hiya used to identify, same other well known 800 numbers.

Galaxy AHi I-Vladimir,
Welcome to the Samsung Members Canada community.
The Smart Call function lets you know who's calling even when the number isn't on your contact list.
When it's spam, you can easily block the call, and then take action by reporting it.
Link for the Samsung Smart call: https://www.samsung.com/ca/apps/smart-call/
Please perform the clear cache of the Hiya and data of the Hiya app on your device.
Clearing the app cache is kind of like a cleanse for your apps. It will get rid of residual files that could be slowing down the app.
Open Settings, and then swipe to and tap Apps. Select or search for the app you want to clear. Tap Storage, and then tap Clear cache.
Important: Clearing the data will reset the app to factory default settings. Any personal settings saved on the app will be removed.
Open Settings, and then swipe to and tap Apps. Select or search for the app you want to clear. Tap Storage, tap Clear data, and then tap OK. This will completely wipe the app and reset it to the original settings.
Then check for the app updates on Playstore and make sure that the Hiya app is updated to the latest version. If the problem persists, please contact the app developer so that they will help you with the available options.

Galaxy AHi Haltson,
Consider me as advanced user 😀
The issue is in the Samsung system Smart Call application which I referenced as Hiya.
I tried to enable/disable "Caller ID and spam protection" in settings.
I tried to delete Phone app cache and data in Storage.
None of them resolved the issue.
To make sure the issue is clear, it does detect Spam calls and I see some entries in Recents when I turn "Show Blocked" on, but it doesn't identify the caller, I do not see caller name on the screen, just the number.
Default app "Caller ID and spam app" is set to Phone
I tried to search other options in settings with Smart Call or Hiya - not found.
Thank you

Galaxy AHi Tallman,
That would mean if you called me and your number was registered in Hiya database, I would get "Tallman" on the display, instead of "1+your _phone_number.
Smart call also used to identify toll free numbers, displaying ,for example, "Rogers" instead of 1-8xxx

Galaxy AHey, did you ever manage to solve the problem?
I have the same issue on my A71 with Android 11.
I've been forced to use a 3rd party app for Spam & Caller ID since I could not get the Samsung built-in one to work.
