Hi

Does anyone have any idea about turning off "pressing the power button thrice to call 911 "

I assigned twice to click the power button to launch my Google Wallet, but when I use it instead of Google Wallet, it launches SoS. I think this is because my phone is slow ( A53 )

Go to Settings & Search for "SOS".

It's actually 5 times, not 3.

You can add "Swipe to Call", so that simply pressing the power button 5 times won't dial 911.

I haven't tried it, but maybe change the emergency number from 911 to 411 or something.

Yeah, you could also change the number.... but just remember that you did!

Different devices & Android versions.

Here's a screen shot from my S20 Ultra One UI V5.1.

The first screen shots are from my S23 Ultra One UI V6.0.

Hi, just to confirm have you tried the steps as suggested by the RedDogRabbit ?

Please let us know if you are still facing the issue after performing the steps.

Samsung removed the ability to turn Emergence SOS feature off. My phone called 911 several times since the update, even with "Swipe to confirm" turned on. Five presses on the side button is too easy to do accidentally. This wastes 911 operator's time, and might make them ignore my number in a real emergency. Only fix I could come up with was to change the automatically-called number from 911 to something else. I entered the Samsung Customer Service number. Now Samsung will be annoyed, not 911 operators.
