Galaxy AHi potatoman237,
The Samsung Galaxy A51, while feature-rich, has some limitations compared to other models like the Galaxy S series. The inability to edit or rename tags in the Gallery app may be due to these differences.
Please ensure your A51 is updated to the latest software version. Also, update the Gallery app via the Galaxy Store: Open the Galaxy Store > Search for Gallery > Update.
If you want advanced tagging and renaming options. Try Google Photos which provide more flexibility in tagging and organizing photos.
Thank you.

Galaxy AHi potatoman237,
Tagging in Google Photos refers to the app's ability to recognize faces, objects, and locations in your photos and allow you to categorize or search them easily. Here's how you can work with tags in Google Photos:
Enable Face Grouping: Open the Google Photos app. Tap your profile picture in the top-right corner. Go to Photos Settings > Group similar faces. Turn on Face grouping. Google Photos will now detect and group faces in your photos.
Name Faces: In the Search tab, you'll see face groups under "People & Pets." Tap a face group and select "Add a name" to label it.
Manually Assign Faces: Open a photo with a person whose face wasn't automatically grouped. Swipe up or tap the three-dot menu to open photo details. Under "People," tap "Add or Remove", then select the correct face group or create a new one.
Once tags are set up: Use the search bar in Google Photos. Type the name of a person, pet, object, or place to see all photos tagged with.
Thank you.
