Galaxy AHi Peter297, When the navigation application is running in the background and the screen is locked, you could click on the navigation arrow displayed on the lock screen which shows the navigation on the lock screen. For this, please make sure you have enabled the Maps features by going into Settings >> Notifications >> Maps >> enable "show notifications" under Map features >> click on "Navigation" under Map features >> Lock screen >> select "Show content"

Galaxy AHi Peter297, Could you please open the "Settings" application and tap on the "Notifications" tab and then scroll down and tap on "See all". Now, please look for "Maps" and tap on it. Please share a screenshot of what you see so that we try to help you to locate the settings.
