Galaxy AYou don't really need to disable it, just make the Google Messages app the Default Messaging app. This effectively disables Samsung's Messaging app.
If you're really intent on disabling it, you could use adb or there's a couple of "App Disabler / Freezer" apps on the Play Store you can use.

Galaxy AWell, as I said, once you set Google Messages as the default Messaging app, Samsung Messages won't be active. If it's because you see it's Icon on your device's desktop, sure, just remove the Icon.
