I just updated my Samsung Galaxy A52 5G today to One UI Version 4.1

Android Version 12

Now my Text messages only show phone numbers , No Contact names like before

Is there a way to disable the Samsung message app.. on S22 Ultra?

You don't really need to disable it, just make the Google Messages app the Default Messaging app. This effectively disables Samsung's Messaging app.

If you're really intent on disabling it, you could use adb or there's a couple of "App Disabler / Freezer" apps on the Play Store you can use.

Well, as I said, once you set Google Messages as the default Messaging app, Samsung Messages won't be active. If it's because you see it's Icon on your device's desktop, sure, just remove the Icon.
