Hey all. New to Samsung, currently with an A53. I was hoping to find an AR Ruler built into the operating system. I can't find anything that doesn't cost like $100 annually.

Am I missing something? This is a standard feature with iPhones. Bummed to not see the same in this phone.

I'm looking for any feature that can provide reasonably accurate measurements using the camera and AR.

Hi, please follow the given steps to quick measure using camera.
Launch the Camera app >> Swipe to MORE >> Select AR Zone >> Tap on download icon beside Quick Measure >> Select Install >> Scan the area around you.
Measuring works best in well-lit areas without much clutter.
Once an object has been scanned you will be able to read the dimensions and distance away from target.

I don't see any download icon when I get to Quick Measure in the AR Zone. Just the options in the picture.Screenshot_20221002-190017_AR Zone.jpg

Hi, we kindly request you try  to create the Emoji following  the given below steps:

Step 1: Launch the AR Zone app and tap AR EMOJI CAMERA.

Step 2:  Tap the "+" icon to create a new emoji or you can select an already existing cute emoji.

Step 3: Capture your own face in the center of the screen to align with a new emoji or tap Make from pic to select a picture. If you tap Pre-made emojis, you can select an emoji and decorate it the way you want.
Step 4: Follow the on-screen instructions to create an emoji. Your emoji and its emoji stickers are now created.

And After creating your emoji, you can take photos and videos with it. There are a few fun options to choose from as well.

Step 1. Launch the AR Zone app and tap AR Emoji Camera.

Step 2. Select the emoji and the mode you want to use.

Tap the emoji icon to take a photo, or tap and hold the icon to record a video. Your photos and videos will be saved to the Gallery.

The available modes may vary depending on the emoji you select.

SCENE: The emoji mimics your expressions.

MASK: The emoji’s face appears over your face so it looks like you are wearing a mask.

MIRROR: My Emoji mimics your body movements.

PLAY: My Emoji moves on a real background.

I'm unclear if this will lead to accessing quick measure. Again, I'd just like to be able to measure items or distances using my camera.

The feature exist, but the a53 5g doesn't have it (don't pay attention to the third comment of @Axton)

That's a bummer, but thank you for the info.

Maybe A53 doesn't have ToF depth sensor...
