Galaxy M15 5G is already in my hands and this is my first impression when trying and using the Galaxy M15. Let's discuss the exterior design first.
At first glance, the Galaxy M15 5G does feel quite substantial with a thickness of up to 9.3 mm. This is natural because the battery capacity reaches 6000 Mah. With a large battery, it will automatically increase the size in terms of thickness.
In terms of weight, it weighs 217 grams, when I first brought this cellphone, it was already very obvious that this cellphone would be quite heavy when carried or when watching lying down while holding the cellphone.
It was most noticeable when I tried to lie down during the day while watching tiktok / portrait videos, holding this cellphone continuously then after a while my hands will feel sore. The positive thing about this heavier cellphone is that when playing games such as car / motorbike racing, it actually provides a more comfortable grip when turning the car / motorbike.
The back of the Galaxy M15 5G uses plastic material with a good design and feels glowing for a moment when exposed to light, but you can ignore this if you use a case that is not transparent.
My suggestion is to use a case, because this back cover is very easy to leave fingerprints after using it.
The camera module is not too prominent like the Galaxy S Series. There is still a slightly higher camera module section but not drastically.
The front screen of the M15 still has a fairly thick bezel, for the left, right and top sides have the same bezel distance but for the bottom bezel side the black bezel feels very large. Personally, for gaming needs, a cellphone with a wide bezel is not too confusing for me because the focus is more on performance and battery life.
At the bottom of the cellphone there is a 3.5 MM Stereo Audio Jack - USB Type C & Speaker. For this, it is common for most Samsung cellphones.
The Sim Card Tray is located on the left side of the phone and can be Hybrid Dual Sim (1 Sim Card + 1 Micro SD Card) or (2 Sim Cards)
On the right side of the Galaxy M15 5G, the fingerprint is integrated with the power button and as usual there is a volume button.
Design Conclusion:
+ For the overall appearance, my opinion is that using a Transparent Clear Case actually looks better than using a Case with a solid color.
+ The shiny backcover design still feels luxurious even though this is a cellphone in the 2.5 million class
+ Even though it carries a boxy design element, when holding it more firmly it doesn't feel sore in the palm of your hand, because the corners of the cellphone are made more rounded at the edges.
- The thick bezel is still acceptable but there is a difference in thickness between the top and bottom bezels
- The heavy weight has the potential to cause your hands to get sore faster when used for playing games
- The backcover is very easy to leave fingerprints, thumbprints, etc.
