Galaxy M31 can't move app data to SD Card (change storage location)

I have two devices, one is Galaxy A51 8/128 another one is Galaxy M31 6/128 from my understanding both of these phones uses the same chipset.

But recently I found out that on my M31, there is no option to change app storage location (move app data to SD Card) just as it is available on my other phone, A51. Please refer to my screenshot where I compare same apps on two phone, MLBB and Mario Kart.

On a side note, my M31 run on latest OneUI 3.0 based on Android 11, while my A51 still run an older OneUI 2.5 based on Android 10.

Can somebody explain what might be the cause why my M31 doesn't show the option?

yea because M31 is using one ui core, not one ui full like Galaxy A51, so in M31 you can't move apps to sd card. i hope this helps .

I see thanks for your information, just checked it myself on the Settings > Software Information.
My Galaxy A51 shows "OneUI Version", while M31 shows "OneUI *Core* Version"
I knew M31 came without Bixby, Knox etc but did not expect this much of a feature cutdown. Thanks.

you can use india firmware, my M21 is using India firmware, some apps can move to sd card 👍

3 words. One UI Core

Because the version is OneUi core, so that the core version didn't have many features like the OneUi version. You can't move the application to SD Card.
