can someone help me figure out what is wrong with my galaxy note 10+. A few months ago my phone did a software update. When it rebooted, it went to the blue "download mode" screen. It will not boot into recovery or any other mode, only download mode. In the top left corner of the blue download mode screen is the following:

RPMB fuse set

RPMB unexpect exception

CURRENT BINARY: samsung official

FRP LOCK: off

KG STATUS: PRENORMAL (unloaded)

WARRANTY VOID: 0x0

QUALCOMM SECUREBOOT: ENABLE

RP SWREV: B7(1.1.1.7.1.1) K7 S7

SECURE DOWNLOAD: ENABLE [ifying vbmeta image: invalid vbmeta header (6)]

The section with [ifying vbmeta image: invalid vbmeta header (6)] has a black background with white lettering. Any ideas what the problem might be?

Hold in on the volume down key and on off key at the same time for about 7 seconds and then your phone should boot up normally

Hi jcpirate76,

It sounds like your Galaxy Note 10+ encountered a significant boot issue following the update, where it’s stuck in "Download Mode" due to an error with the vbmeta (verification-based metadata), which is part of the secure boot process.

This situation can occur if the update didn’t apply correctly or if the system files were corrupted during the process.

Please try to use Samsung’s Smart Switch: Install Samsung Smart Switch on a computer and connect your phone via USB. If the software detects your device, it may offer a recovery option or reinstall the firmware to resolve the issue.

Thank you.
