Hello. i used to use Youtube and WhatsApp together as split screen view. before i received Oreo on my note 8.
I did the same today for the first time after receiving Oreo.(splitting the screen)
There is a BUG with only YouTube. if you are splitting your note 8 (oreo) screen with any other app. it will freeze for 8-9 minutes and it will come back automatically( YouTube video must being played while splitting). i did this to check out what apps are behaving the same way. i found that any app you split with youtube while video is already being played then this happens.
i match some of these apps. to find out the culprit.
First of all thanks for the time you spent for me,in testing the cause and after that writing above. when you split the screen with YouTube,the video must me in full size mode. NOT small view on bottom right side.
then you will have a window resize line at the botton of half YouTube app. slide that all way to bottom as we want to make it a full screen app again.
now i am a bit programmer and full time phone technician. here what happens in my case is, the splitted view full screen YouTube video doesn't know what to do as you are making it full screen all the way. it doesn't know which way to rotate. that might causing the problem.
i don't have auto rotate on.
and after that i checked last time, almost 30 mins ago, my phone froze again
