Edge Lightning doesnt work

Hi All,

New to note 9. I tried all the different settings, but the edge lightning doesnt work when the screen is off. I didnt check that on-screen. Dont really need that when the screen is on, but looking for a way to make it work when the screen is off.
Also, wish we could get a message preview on the AOD screen (coming from pixel 2, so missing it)

Settings>Edge Lightning. Then you get to select whether you want it only when screen is off, or always or only when screen is off.
And about AOD, Samsung is always improving it with new features and clock faces. After all, they are the ones who started and pioneered Always On Display on smartphones. I believe they will add said feature if they believe it won't risk the display of getting more prone to burn in, which Google didn't care about resulting in massive burn in problem on Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL.

Already tried that, doesn't work with screen off
